I am trying to install 10.8.3 from a unibeast on a CF-53 and hangs without getting to the installer. I've tried all the different boot flags and still same result. Anyone had any success with a TOUGHBOOK? I got one of these CF-53's a few weeks ago but haven't done anything with it because it came. So boot the installer with: dart=0 -v. Yes, unibeast 4.0.2 I downloaded this afternoon. I didn't realize this post is in the mountain lion forum (after just searching for panasonic CF-53), and I am having a go at Mavericks Anyways, I connected the laptop to my TV once the installer had booted up and it was waiting for me with a screen telling me to turn on a keyboard and mouse. Could be a bios setting, why it is not detecting the laptop's KB? If the KB is not working I suppose that would also explain why Fn-F3 is not working to change the screen. Yes, unibeast 4.0.2 I downloaded this afternoon.
Delete or remove from the boot image the drivers that are creating issues and add the ones that you just downloaded from the manufacturer website. After you have updated your distribution points, try to boot again and it should work. Again, It is important that you obtain the correct drivers. Hope this helps.

This sounds like a definite driver issue. I have deal with drivers a lot in WinPE and let me tell you that even though you might think you have the right driver, if there is a driver that this particular system needs, it will need that one no matter what. This is what I would do: 1. I would download the correct drivers from the manufacturer website including the mass storage drivers 2.
I then made sure I had the latest drivers for each NIC device I had on my domain and injected them into the boot image. I also assigned those drivers as a driver package on the Task Sequence. This solved my headache completely. I had found that before i updated to 3.1, for some drivers i was able to use their vista versions, but on the newer NICs SCCM wouldnt import the drivers as it determined that it found no compatible OS.

Hello Everyone, I seem to be running into a continious loop of being unsuccessful trying to image a Toughbook CF-53 using SCCM/Config Manager 2007. If I let the computer boot into Win7, I'm able to install the SCCM Client manually and then run an advertisement no problem. The laptop will go through the image process no problem to install Win7 x64. But the minute I try to run a task sequence in the WinPE environment via PXE, I don't get any network connectivity. This particular laptop uses the Intel 82579LM network card. I've done a bunch of research on the web and it looks like other people are having the same problem with this network card. People on the web said to use the older Vista drivers of the Intel 82579LM network card, but the problem is that I can't inject those into boot image because it will error out.
