Me, my mom, and by brother frequently choose this place to eat when we travel to Seattle from Vancouver, Canada. While I have been less than pleased with the hotel lately, the buffet has (almost) always been awesome.
My husband got the fresh made Mongolian Grill and was pleased with the options and sauces - but wished they had included mushrooms in the veggie selection (he may have to steal some from the fresh made omelet bar next time!). He also liked the pumpkin pie for dessert. We sat chatting for a while and didn't feel pressured to leave, in fact they just kept filling our drinks.
No slops served here. Everything was expertly prepared and quite good. Nice place to go for a couple of days, or an easy day trip from the Seattle area.

I guess that explains the time limit in some all-you-can-eat, hehehehe. Re: your teachings on buffet. Similar to yours, whenever I go to a buffet (and I haven't in quite some time.), it is to go for items I normally won't prepare at home (most likely because I can't or too expensive ingredients).
The Eagles Buffet at the Tulalip Casino is the best buffet we had ever been to in the Washington state. It was busy the weekend we were there. There were a lot of British Columbians too as a matter of fact, I meet two separate friends there.
