There are also codes that can be entered for more standard less esoteric equipment. This unit has held up well. I have 2 Labs and they tend to sweep the remote onto my hardwood floor whether it's on my coffee table or couch arm. If you set the back lighting feature to all the way up it does tend to use batteries a bit more.
For example, there are four buttons at the bottom of the remote marked A through D which can be used for assigning functions from another remote that don't match up well with other keys already on the remote. In my case, I use the A through D keys to control the surround sound settings on my receiver.
Jan 27, 2013 The driver is included in the AX Remote Editor 1.1 software available on Sony's support site ([Link: esupport.sony.com]) Download it, run it and it'll create a folder on your desktop called Sony_AX110006220. Plug in your remote and when it asks you for the drivers, point it to the folder on your desktop and it should work. And if you no longer have the original CD, you can extract the drivers from the.exe file that you can download from Sony. Install WinRar (WinZip will probably work as well) on your machine and right click on the file and select 'extract here'.

This remote could not encode the buttons for source select on a Sony HT-SS 1100 home theather receiver. I tried also programming the Xpress function buttons, but it does not work on my setup (an LG TV, an LG DVD-Recorder, a Thomson DCI-1000 digital cable box and the Sony HT SS 1100 receiver). It does not send the commands to the devices with sufficient timing for them to activate and then receive the change input signal.
So at this time, it is another of my ideas that I wasted money on!! I am used to punching in a code for each device, and you're done. Really, what's wrong with that? This unit does not recognize any DVD players made by OPPO, the best players available.
If you are willing to take some time and understand the software, you'll find there is very little this remote can't do. In fact, if you aren't scared of editing XML, you'll find this remote is among the most configurable ones out there! The only and I mean ONLY negative thing I can think to mention is Sony's choice to use small buttons for the up, down, left, and right navigation cross.

I bought it because it was cheap and a way to get down to one controller with a programmable controller. I was able to get it to work, but not too happy with the results. I had to program everything because nothing worked as described. My system must be too complicated. I wanted to get HDMI working to each of my electronic gadgets.
Apple releases security update 2005009 for mac. Apple noted that Microsoft Word for Mac OS X is not vulnerable. Another Directory Services vulnerability focused on several security flaws with the privileged tool dsidentity. This update prevents the buffer overflow from occurring. A buffer overflow in Directory Services that handles authentication could lead to arbitrary code execution by a remote attacker.
I wanted to get HDMI working to each of my electronic gadgets. I bought one of these 4 to 1 HDMI switcher boxes and after paying all that money I found that the Dish Receiver doesn't support HDMI (hmmm, coulda sworn it did). In fact the newer HD one doesn't either. The HDMI switcher won't turn back on when the power goes off which is a pain, but I can work around that. Anyway, in a nutshell, I can't get my wife to use the thing because it is not intuitive to use when something fails. She doesn't get the concept of turning everything off to resync after a power blip.
In fact, the remote feels like quality to me. It isn't light like the cheapy remote that came with my TV.

RM AX1400 This remote is programed on a PC and then downloaded to the remote via a USB port/cable. It is fairly easy to follow the on screen prompts. I had it work on Win xp, (and with a little work(Compatibility mode) on Win 7, win 8, Win 10 I can control 8 devices (With 4 buttons reserved for Express functions(macros)) but one of them is the TV(I did not research how to avoid the TV as the 1st device) so that leaves 7 more external devices. I am very happy with the results. Verified purchase: Yes Condition: Pre-owned.
